Overview
The pediatric department of Aspire Hospital was inaugurated with a humble beginning of 20 Beds inclusive of 3 high dependency unit beds. The department was headed by Dr.Sadiq who is known for his sincerity and teaching skills and is ably supported by his duty bound and well mannered registrars.There is also a round the clock emergency service available in the form pediatric trained doctors either DCH or MD who are available to tackle any emergency like Status epilepticus, Acute severe asthma and Dengue shock syndrome.
The unit has a general ward of 5 beds which are also provided with central Oxygen and suction facilities apart from 4 single rooms which are air conditioned. The HDU is well equipped with pulse oximeter, Heart Rate, NIBP, Heart rate monitor, Infusion pumps and measured volume sets to give calculated boluses and drug infusions which are very critical in the care of young children.The unit has done well with help of famous visiting consultants Dr.Sadiq, Dr.Iliyaz, Dr.Suhaim and Dr.Adil Pasha.
